We would like to introduce you to one of our new furry friends Tvinne. She is a beautiful black dachshund who lives in Norway with her lucky owner Anne. Anne purchased a Ruff Wear Daisy Collar from us for Tvinne. Anne was looking for this exact collar, and we were thrilled we had exactly what she wanted!

The Danish have three popular traditions in celebrating Valentine’s Day. The youngsters take great care in following these traditions so that they will have successful and romance filled lives. They give “lover’s cards” which is very popular, but they also give white flowers to their loves called “Snowdrops”. They also write special love poems called “gaekkebrev”. It is said that the men jot down love poems to their loves without signing them. If their beloveds figure out who the poem is from then she will be rewarded with an Easter Egg on that year.

It is back to school shopping time. Sometimes we get so caught up in making sure we have everything for kids. We forget about our furry kids! We have recently gotten a new shipment of Ruff Wear items in. It is going to be cold soon! So don’t forget about a jacket for your furry kid!

It’s summertime and I can’t think of a better time to get out and enjoy the fabulous summer weather! Our furry friends love the summertime also! I don’t know about yours but ours sometimes sit at the door with their Ruff Wear leashes in front of them letting me know that a walk around the neighborhood is definitely what’s on their mind! I love it because I know I need to be out there not only giving my furry buddy some exercise, but I am getting that much needed exercise also! How can you say no to a walk when this adorable face is looking up at you?
A friend of mine took a leap of faith a couple of years ago, and rescued their first Sheltie…Scotty. I remember her excitement and apprehensions…but before long he had won her heart 🙂
It was great fun to see all the pictures of their adventures together! And before long they had rescued another Sheltie…and then two more. It was a beautiful bond for everyone involved.
Sadly, last night Scotty passed away, due to complications from something gastrointestinal related. Our sympathies go to Jo and her family. Scotty had a very loving family who gave him love & shelter, and in return he gave loads of love and joy back 🙂
Hug the furry members of your family, and next time you consider adding to your family, consider a rescue!
